Funnily enough, I have one of those on my radar as a seasonal treat to self, how do you get on with it? Easy and no hassle to use?
It's brilliant. Just get it. Looks good and is very easy to use: just press the 'on' button, and then the 'reduce temperature' button to either 70/80/90C if you don't want boiling water, and it will heat to whichever setting you've chosen.Did I mention that it looks good? Everyone who sees it says, "Oooh - sexy kettle."

Just looked up the longjin, ouch at the price, although assume 75g would last a fair old while!
Quality tea is expensive. But, the best should be good for at least two brewings from the same leaves. Eight or more in the case of an aged Pu Erh.I use a 250ml glass teapot and follow this procedure: Pour the hot water on, let it infuse for two minutes. Then pour out the entire contents into a mug or jug.
That way, it doesn't 'stew'. The leaves in the pot will be good for at least another brewing.

Matcha tastes disgusting.
Even I - as a green tea lover - can't stomach the stuff.
Tastes like green tea to me! Obviously depends on how long you brew it for, the longer its brewed the more bitter it tastes. I only ever brew it for two-three minutes.Even I - as a green tea lover - can't stomach the stuff.

My Mrs sells Green Matcha Tea as part of her range to do with all things fresh, natural and organic.
Unfortunately like others, I have tried Matcha and found it impossible. What I tried was ceremonial grade and very expensive. Edited by extraT on Sunday 28th September 16:04
I found it rank, to be honest. People may wish to try it, but very much an aquired taste, (if any)
Matcha is a very acquired taste. I'm actually fine with it despite not liking bitter tastes.
Historically it became a significant drink before the tea ceremony really came to the fore. The priests would use it's bitterness to help remind of the balance of life and to help focus the inner mind. The sweet cake/jelly was added later to counter said bitterness.

I tried green tea for a while to see if 0 caffeine would help me sleep at night. Found out after a month that green tea is full of the stuff !
It is. As a raw product tea contains more caffeine than coffee, only there's less caffeine in the finished drink because you brew it weaker.

This, absolutely this.Did I mention that it looks good? Everyone who sees it says, "Oooh - sexy kettle."
After years of trying to guess the right temperature for coffee (leaving the lid off after it's boiled for five minutes), green tea etc. My kettle blew up and we bought a Heston Sage kettle with the variable temperature controls.
It is fabulous. If you enjoy green or white teas and coffee it's fantastic.

At least it might prevent me purchasing an iKettle which I've been threatening to do.
One thing I saw at an all-night party in Paris that has stuck with me as cool, was at 6am the team of bartenders closed the bar down, made jasmine tea in cocktail shakers, and then strained it into a huge row of martini glasses for all those who had stayed up all night. If tea can look cool as fk, this was it.
