Well this thread has brought out the crass, richer than you cock sockets.

As I'm not a bellend I will happily share dinner with people who can't afford the whole tab or more than their fair share.

Listen to yourselves.

Jesus has the world gone mad?

P.s. Personally I don't care either way as long as I don't have to work it out.
A rare moment of sense in an utterly bizarre thread.....

Paying 'more than my fair share' is never really an issue for me as I'm usually one of the couple in our group who spends more on food and drinks more. Half of the group are vegetarians (cheaper food in general) and some don't drink much. I wouldn't dream, not for one second, of splitting the bill evenly in a situation like this. I wouldn't feel comfortable knowing that my bill was being subsidised in this way, by people who hadn't spent as much, due to their tastes or their finances. And I still enjoy their company (for the most part).

As the standard response to someone not wanting to split the bill is to call them a 'tight fisted wker', I'm not sure what that makes me.

Jesus, some of you guys could barely come across worse.

I took the advice of one of the posters this weekend. I went to an Italians for a lunchtime special on Saturday with my son, my friend and his two boys. 3 course special and the bill came to £35 with tip for all of us. I paid and said we should do it again some time and he can pick up the tab. Lets test the friendship by waiting to see how long it is before I get the invite!
