I know it’s a long way off I’ve got six this year at my new place (with a rather small oven) for Christmas, and because the GF’s family is European I need to do a Christmas Eve meal and a Christmas Day meal. Therefore I’m going to need to get ahead as much as possible, Christmas Eve is sorted I think (pork with associated trimmings) but looking for Christmas Day tips to limit stress and hard work!

So far I’m thinking of making stuffing, pigs in blankets, gravy and mashed swede in the next few weeks and freezing but that’s all so far.

So any tips?

I made spiced red cabbage last weekend and that's in the freezer ready for the big day.

You should have the sprouts on already.

Peel and chop all your veg on Christmas Eve and keep one day's worth in a washing up blow full of water in a cold place until Christmas Day. Or par-boil it all and keep in the fridge before roasting.

I made my mincemeat today, that'll keep me going for the next couple of years!
