Would anyone have the recipe for his version of his Mums Sausage Roast he did on Mondays (just gone) Best Ever Dishes (Old School Favourites)

I can't seem to find it anywhere without buying the book

Yes and I can't see it there, though the other recipes he did on Mondays episode are there. I think I will have to watch it back and jot down what he uses and guess the amounts

He's just opened a new pub up in Marlow (though he's not the actual head chef, his sous chef Nick Beardshaw is taking the lead), so hoping to pop in for an lunch or breakfast before Christmas. There's a no reservation policy so I'm guessing this means a better chance of getting in if you arrive at a quiet time.

Menu looks pretty tasty too, would love to grab a seat at the bar and watch all the action in the kitchen. http://thecoachmarlow.co.uk/

The font on the menus is appalling - as is under No Meat putting "Cauliflower cheese soup with Fried Ox (contains meat). WTF?

Can't say I noticed the font, was more interested in what it had to say. Stuffed quail and pommes boulangere from the rotisserie and some greens looks like a great lunch!

I quite liked the idea of putting in the meat in the Veg menu, just because I know it would really wind up a somewhat uptight veggie aquaintance of mine, and that makes me like Mr Kerridge even more.

The typeface is perfectly fine, classy and easy to read, and the items in the "no meat" column that "contain meat" has obviously earned you a whoosh parrot.

FFS I didn't realise we had a typographic expert in our midst..... rolleyes

Font/Typeface are interchangeable as far as I'm concerned, unless you're an insufferable archaic pedant.

I don't like the way it looks.

My OH has asked if I want anything for Christmas, so I've asked for the book.

Thank you though for those that helped with the recipe.

I've also asked for his Proper Pub Food book as well. Should keep me quiet in the kitchen for a while and some new ideas when friends round for dinner
