The Christmas Dinner Thread

The in-laws do Christmas Eve dinner as the big meal, and go out for Chinese food on Christmas Day.

I cook a lot of Chinese so volunteered to step in for Mr. Wong's.

Starter - a small chicken consomme with fresh tomato and spring onion
First course - crispy salt and pepper squid, smacked cucumber salad, szechuan sesame chicken salad
Second course - lemon chicken, gong-bao chicken, rice
Main course - whole steamed Red Snapper with ginger and spring onion, bok choi with hoi sin sauce

desert - pannetone and ice cream because i knew i would be knackered.

It went well!

Alternative Xmas dinner: BBQd jerk chicken, mango salsa and coconut rice. Was noms.
