Just had my email from costco and saw something I've never seen before, wondered if anyone has and has tried them?

Tea pods for the nespresso machines:

I tried both the Green Tea and the Camomile ones not so long ago. I really liked the Green Tea ones and the Camomile ones weren't bad either. Have a look at http://my-new-stuff.com/tea-from-a-coffee-machine/

By the way, the coffee from the same manufacturers (Caffe Ottavo) is also very good and considerably cheaper than the Nespresso ones if you buy from Costco.

Got some of these fromLidl to try. They're not too bad for £1.79.

Looking for some advice on which machine to get.

I leave for work at silly o'clock, and the new kitchenaid kettle the missus loves beeps and bongs constantly whilst boiling.

Have a cup of instant every morning but it's just crap - far prefer the latte I get once I'm at work (or even the ones from Maccy D's if I get brekkie on the way in).

Thinking one of these will let me make a nice latte in the morning, then one in a travel cup for on my way in.

Looking at the Lattissima+ cause it seems like a fool (me!) proof way to get a couple of cups of good coffee each morning. Or is one of the cheaper machines with Aeroccino as good and easy?

Can a normal sized travel mug fit under the spouts?

Any offers on at the moment? Can't see anything about £75 store credit anymore?

Cheers!

My Pixie has a flip up cup stand, can get normal mugs under the spout easily.

Be warned though, these beasts are anything but quiet when in operation. May only be 15 seconds or so, but first thing it does seem loud.

All machines will fit a travel mug - in some cases you just move the drip tray.

Personally, I'd go the Aeroccino route as I wouldn't want to leave the milk in the machine.

Awesome. I think the milk container on the Lattissima can be removed and left in the fridge? From what I can gather it can be more easily cleaned too.

Rinse with water before use - reduces the chances of milk burning on the bottom.

Haven't tried the Lidl ones but we used the Casino own brand capsules while in France recently and were not impressed. Seemed to take ages for the water to pump through, the machine really struggled to puncture them properly to the point where we ended up pre puncturing them, which did help the flow. They also didn't eject/drop very well at the end.
I would prefer to keep to the Nespresso ones in future.

Not found a decent alternative yet some have been ok but not enough to consider changing.

Recently tried Cru Kafe, the intense one was ok but I found the capsules must be to big as you really had to shove the lid down resulting in when I put a genuine capsule in it feels loose now.

Possibly repeating myself, but Big Cup Little Cup pods are pretty good and they have a decent range, second only to the genuine article.

The only downside is they are hardly any cheaper, but there are some good flavours and delivery is prompt.

Having tried these, if you mixed these up with all the other Nespresso pods, you wouldn't tell which are these and which are Nespresso imo.
