Nespresso owners - Get in Here!!!!!
Discussion
I've had a Nespresso machine for years now - I'm on my second now as I wore the first one out.
I've only just spotted this thread, so not had time to read all the way through, but when I tried non-OEM pods that Sainsburys were selling (Durasumatorother) they felt like they were damaging the machine such was the force required to put the pod lid down!

I remember reading something that said the newer Nespresso machines were designed so the use of the non-genuine plastic pods damaged them in some way. The older machines work fine but the new ones (U and maybe some others) don't like them at all.
The U machine is the most temperamental when it comes to capsules and glitches, I have more calls on those machines than anything else so I personally wouldn't use one of the refillable capsules in that machine.Just so you are all aware, I've just been told this morning there is a worldwide issue with our software when placing orders online, your order will be showing as processed and the money taken, but the order hasn't actually gone through on the software.
My advise is to make phone orders or visit the boutique at the moment.

If it hasn't already been mentioned, fill the water reservoir from the hot tap. Otherwise luke-warm coffee.
The coffee should come out at 85 degrees. What you should to stop heat loss is to run a cycle of water only into your cup before making a coffee to limit the heat loss from your cup as much as possible.QROPS said:

One thing that annoys me is that if I don't make a latte with the aerocinno, and instead just have a large shot with a wee bit of milk - the coffee is too cold. Is there a solution to this apart from pre-heating the cup(!) which is a ballache.hornetrider said:

I put the cup with the small amount of milk into a microwave for 30 secs and dispense the coffee into the cup afterwards.hornetrider said:

Just press the small coffee button without a capsule in to warm the cup. Literally adds about 15 seconds onto the routine. Unfortunately there's not a way to adjust the temp on the machine.Gassing Station | Food, Drink & Restaurants | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
