Anyone tried the present limited edition - Peru Secreto ? I'm going to be reordering in a week or two time and wondered whether it was worth getting any.
Can you try it and let us know? Anyone tried the present limited edition - Peru Secreto ? I'm going to be reordering in a week or two time and wondered whether it was worth getting any.
That Cuban one a few months back was bloody awful, tasted like tar and I got 200 capsules of it
Just got some as part of a five sleeve intense pack. Quite nice and can taste a chocolatey taste. Fairly smooth.

Tried this nespresso lark the other week in a hotel. I really don't get it I'm afraid the coffee was poor better than instant but it's nowhere close to the proper stuff. It was quick but I'd prefer to spend an extra minute or two grinding beans and making a proper coffee.
I love mine, admittedly never tried grinding my own beans etc, but for convenience it's hard to beat.Without going back through 11 or so pages, I've had 2 Nespresso machines, and whilst I enjoyed the coffee, I really didn't think much of the (Krups) machines I owned.
BOTH machines I'd purchased let me down when they stopped piercing the capsules. Has anyone else's machine suffered from this?
The first failed after 3 years, OK, it had been used a LOT, so I recycled it as the spare parts were more expensive than replacing the machine. The next I bought failed me on it's first use! Fortunately the purchase included a box with 12 capsules in, and I went through the whole lot to prove to the store that the brand new machine didn't work.
"We'll send it off for repair."
Oh, nooooo - refund, please!
In the end I used the store credit to buy a Senseo machine. It's not a good espresso, but it doesn't fail to make me a coffee when I want one!
Anyway, I won't be buying another, despite the fact we've a great Nespresso store in the city.
As you were....

I took a gamble and included 30 in my last order - I really like it. Afraid I can't give you a Jilly Goolden type review but their is nothing offensive about it (unlike some of the previous specials I've tried).Anyone tried the present limited edition - Peru Secreto ? For anyone who has Amazon Prime membership and is not bothered about the colour - Amazon have a Fuchsia coloured Krupps Inissia for £55. Deal ends in just under 2 hours and there's 63% of the allocated sale stock left.
As an FYI I got my Krups fixed FOC.
Rang them up, went through the routine and agreed it was broken.
Courier came the next day, collected mine and dropped off a loaner (a magimix which felt very cheaply made compared to mine).
A few days later got another text saying it's coming back.
All swapped over again, failed pump and flow meter replaced.
Very impressed with the service.

I think you get 2 years guarantee with all the nespresso machines - unless things have changed?Rang them up, went through the routine and agreed it was broken.

I loved the Cuban one!
Just to let people know - Taylors of Harrogate now do a range of Nespresso pods. Three expressos at strengths 8 (Kenyan), 9 (Columbian) and 10 (Brazilian). I've tried the Columbian and it is rather nice with characterful flavour, plus strength (I've normally found the non-Nespresso pods either weak or bland/uniform - or both).
I got from Tesco, but it's also meant to be available from Sainsbury and Waitrose. Down side - £2.99 per pack, so not that dissimilar to the price of the originals, so more a decent alternative as opposed to a cheaper one. (lets hope for some discounts).
