Good value Middle Eastern in central London
Discussion
Has anyone got any tips?
I'm in town this weekend (free weekend given as a gift) with my wife but we're totally & utterly broke.
I lived in Beirut for a while and we're both still crazy for Lebanese (& Turkish) food. Only problem is I don't have the sheckels for a decent outing to our usual haunts.
Has anyone been to Yalla Yalla (http://www.yalla-yalla.co.uk/) or any of the other 'street food' type places?
We'll make a trip to Comptoir Libanais for lunch on Saturday but any other suggestions would be most welcome for Friday evening.
Cheers all.

Yalla Yalla is good. Very difficult to find a table in the Soho one though, avoid peak hours during the weekend.
Good to know, thanks. We'll dodge Soho, I saw there was one in W1 not too far from the Comptoir Libanais behind Regent Street.
Really can't wait, up here in the Dales we're a bit light on Middle Eastern tuck. They even hate people from the next county, never mind weird looking brown people

Haven't been to the W1W one, might be bigger and easier to find a table.

I like it there but sadly well out of budget Sorry that'll teach me to speed read. In which case I second Maroush, great value for money and yum!
I was in the one on Vere street a few Thursdays ago, Lamb schwarmas wraps, few sharing platters and a couple of beers came to under £20 pp.
