Yep, love refried beans. Not completely sure they are particularly healthy if you use lard but subs. olive oil and I guess you might get away with it.

I use 8 cloves of garlic, two tins of kidney beans and half a tin of tomatoes. Just keep cooking and stiring until there are a thick gloop then keep loosening with olive oil until your happy. Season well and thats dinner.

Fry some red onions and garlic together gently, then add some beans, chopped tomatoes, sugar and Worcester sauce. Simmer and reduce, add a splash of white wine vinegar if you fancy cutting the sweetness, and enjoy!

Yep. I fry up some onions and diced chorizo, then fry some chicken thighs in the same pan, take the thighs out add a tin of tomatoes and drained canelini beans and a glass of red and a bay leaf, bring it to the boil put the thighs back in and chuck it in the oven for 40 minutes.

This, but caramalise some tomato puree instead of adding the sugar and add some vegetable stock, then blend before adding the beans...then bake in the oven for 30 minutes.

Thanks for the replies gents, I did indeed mean any beans.

Im not a big fan of sausages, but id perhaps have a look at making these recipes but using meat balls.

The red kidney bean burgers look interesting too and would I think go nice with a home made beef burger. I like falafels and this is similar, I should try making my own falafels as well.
