Ready Brek is like wallpaper paste: can't stomach the stuff.
However a decent porridge can be had from soaking 40g boggo whole rolled oats overnight in water with some dried fruit of your choice (or not) then simmering or microwaving these until thick and gloopy.
Personally I like dried cranberries in mine, with a grated apple stirred in plus some cinnamon.

Jumbo Rolled Oats are the nicest with cold milk.

Jesus how idle can you get?
If you can't face up to 'cooking' just a short time in a microwave, why not make up your own muesli?
Decent rolled oats, chopped nuts, some dried fruits - raisins / sultanas / chopped dried apricots / dates. Cold milk. Better if left to soak but not necessary and avoids loads of sugar.
But seriously proper porridge takes little time, add in the raisins etc and honey or maple syrup, even golden syrup if you must.
Ready Brek et al yuk.

Replace water with milk, and that's what I'm having right now. Takes two and a half minutes in the microwave
I tried microwaving it once as someone said you're supposed to do that (because the Scots had microwaves in the 15th century). I ended up using it to fill a large crack in the external rendering.Hoofy said:

I find that I need to use almost 50% more milk than the guidelines on the pack to make it how we both like it — i.e. not so solid that a spoon will stand up in it, just a nice, creamy consistency. 3 zaps in the microwave, with a really good stir in between each one.Gassing Station | Food, Drink & Restaurants | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
