online shopping for Bier
Discussion
I am a love of a good belgian ale and try to get over once a year and bring back a suitcase full but it doesn't last long
Anyone recommend any good suppliers? I'm erring towards www.belgianbeerfactory.com but nowhere seems to come close to the prices over there, a 1 euro bottle over there is double the price at least online plus shipping.
Definitely seems cheaper to buy online and have it shipped than buy from shops over here unless buying duvel / leffe in a supermarket

The problem we have is that the duty levied on alcohol sales here in the UK hits Belgian brews particularly hard, simply because they are so strong. Until that changes, unfortunately you aren't going to find anywhere comparable with € prices...
Even some lower ABVs can be expensive sometimes, going to cost unfortunately if you want to enjoy it regularly I tend to buy all my beer from Beers of Europe, though have used Beer Merchants a few times.
Are there duty implications with shipping from that site?
Can see quite few things well worth the saving and a few I've never seen, I did find some examples actually comparable or cheaper at BoE.

I ordered a case of beer from them before Christmas. The prices are way better than anything you'll see in the UK and the shipping is low too (5 euro?). You can get around 48 bottles shipped for the 5 euro charge which is pretty good. Only thing I'd say is it took a while, think I waited nearly three weeks before my order shipped which happened very shortly after sending them an email to say where's my beer. Shipping was quick though as they use DPD, one of the best couriers out there.Anyone recommend any good suppliers? I would buy from them again but would allow for a bit of delay in my beers arriving.
Thanks for the responses guys, think i'll give them a try after pay day, need a crate of kwak and then probably mix up another tray.
Works out cheaper to order from them than it would be to hop over from dunkirk/chunnel and bring back anything less than 6 crates and thats with free company fuel.
