We've added a few bottles (bulldog, hendricks and opihr) to our mini gin collection thanks to my lovely folks.

Actually quite enjoying the Opihr with tonic and a couple of red chilli slices. Sets it off better than citrus seemed too. I also quite like the fairly overpowering cardamon smell it gives off as it makes a nice change

Also recently had Millers strongly recommended to us. Is it worth getting as an alternative to hendricks/tanqueray etc?
I like Opihr. Nice winter Gin.

What else is in the Hendricks box? I've got a couple of their tea cup and saucers. Love the ltd edition freebies. So quaint.
It's just got a nice little cocktail book in it, pretty much all cucumber based ideas but will probably try a couple at some point.

The Silent Pool hasn't lasted long since Xmas day!

Unfortunately I missed grabbing cheap bottle of the Mare from Aldi and haven't got around to getting my own bottle of the Harris. I'd have to order a crate of 6 as it's amazeballs biggrin

Never judge a book by its cover and all that; was left very underwhelmed by this one:

As per previous page, I'm struggling to find something as good as Bathtub at the moment, so any suggestions (not Monkey 47) would be appreciated.
Quite the opposite for me, although i am biased as it is distilled round the corner from my parents' in Caithness. i did have it with lemon and schweppes as opposed to my usual fever tree tonic.

will have to sample some bathtub as it is recommended highly on here.

Not a fan of bathtub but I'm aware I'm in the minority here.

I was always a bit take-it-or-leave-it about the bog standard Gordons+Schweppes, but have had a few nights out recently at places with a big selection of interesting gins, and as a result consumed quite a lot of it over Christmas. Wish I could remember half of them laugh

Botanist was nice, served in one place with a tonic I forget and a big slice of orange and in another with Double Dutch pomegranate and basil and fresh basil leaves. They did something - Monkey 47 I think - with cracked black pepper and dried lavender - I asked the bartender what she thought was the most interesting, and I think I got the most weird. Was actually very good, though by that point in the evening I'd have probably enjoyed meths with a dash of lighter fluid. Bought a bottle of Sipsmiths, of Opihr and of Bloom and a variety of tonics and spent a few evenings over Xmas with friends going through the permutations of them with orange, lime and cucumber and half the spice cupboard. Didn't find anything I didn't like, though my liver disagrees.

Up to around 30 bottles in the collection now. Brockmans is a clear favourite of both myself and the good lady.
Brockmans fan here too. And I love the Warner Edwards rhubarb gin and ginger beer (+ half a crushed lime).

Craft Gin Club delivery arrived today - Glendalough from Ireland. Looking forward to giving it a try (if I ask the Mrs nicely, technically it's a gift for her...)

Gin Mare my favourite too. Snapped up a bottle in Aldi for £28 before Christmas, it's currently on offer in Waitrose for £31.

Just got this for my birthday, made in Sunderland! It has a quite distinctive cardamom taste, I wonder if it may go well as an aperitif for a curry.

Got a couple of new ones.

Anyone tried this gin? I had some the other day as an aperitif, served with basil leaves, juniper berries and a slive of lemon peel, and fever tree tonic, of course.... at €14/drink.

However, sniffing it from the bottle, really very aromatic.

I will be buying some very soon!
