Cleaning an electric sandwich toaster after use could appear in "The worst job you have ever had" thread.
Yep, hence why one that we bought years ago was soon confined to the back of the cupboard and subsequently chucked out and also hence why I have told my youngest (soon to be 19), that she is not buying one as a) it will stink the house out b) I know she won't clean it up properly, no matter how much she says she will and c) she will be bored of all the faff in a week and it will go into an already full cupboard.Bloody stupid things.

I bought a toastie machine for uni and I don't recall ever giving it more than the odd wipe every few years. That was some 18 years back. Still in regular use today and it doesn't smell in the slightest.
My favourite and own concoction is peanut butter, cheddar and camembert as a filling, delicious.

Nah mayo shouldn't be cooked, it goes weird.
Buttering the outside of the bread for a toastie is a must though.
Sarah and I must have been imagining how nice the results are then. We've been doing them like this for years. Buttering the outside of the bread for a toastie is a must though.

This thread got me thinking and i dug out my toastie maker today, buttered the outside of the bread and filled it with tinned ravioli a bit of the sauce and cheese on top, sprinkled some bacon bits and onion bits on too and was bloody lovely. tinned ravioli and bread both from Aldi too.
