Mix up a paste using one of the following:
Baking soda and water.
Or
Equal parts of white vinegar and salt.

Make sure the stained areas of the cup are wet.
Apply one of the above pastes using a soft cloth.
Scrub the surface until the stain is removed.

Boiling water and some fairy liquid, leave for 20min and it normally all lifts right off.

Warm water and Bicarbonate of soda mixed and left overnight does the job just fine.

Wet pad

Wipe mug

Stain gone

Bleach will do the job easily.
Tea spoons too..

Boil kettle
Put a small amount of bleach in mug and fill immediately with the boiled water.
Leave for approx 1 minute,empty and rinse....I always put the mugs in with the rest of the dirty dishes afterwards to get rid of any bleach smell/after taste

That's why I mentioned using Milton fluid, very little if any bleach aftertaste....

Best thing to remove the tannin stains in your cups is caustic soda.

Get some granules at the shop, mix them up with some hot water and leave to stand for half an hour. They shouldpretty much wipe clean after that.

I generally use a wire cup brush attachment fitted to my electric drill.
Or a course grade abrasive flapwheel. Works a treat on even the most encrusted brew mugs.
