I'm not sure whether this should be in here or in the Food, Drink & Restaurants forum. I'm looking for a decent beer glass as my current one is a cheap plastic one which I'm currently using to store cutlery. I've had a quick search online yet I've had no luck finding any. So where do PHer's buy there beer glasses?

I like a nice straight beer glass. Lucky since I got loads of them from beer festivals.

It's just a glass. Tesco does a 4pk for £2

I'm not quite sure how to drink an alcohol beverage with those so you might have to explain how you do it.

There's a nice shop in Bruges where they sell glasses to match the beers they sell.

Pewter tankard for home drinking. Available from all of your good trophy shops. They start shiny silver and go matte grey colour through use.

I'm not keen on the Pewter tankard as I've never liked Pewter.

I always ask the bar staff if I can have a glass if I stick a fiver in the charity box.

If they say no, I nick it anyway hehe

Maybe that's one for the 'Council' thread wink

Amazon do a set of 4 dimpled pint glasses for £7.99 + postage or a single one for £12.69.

Not sure how that computes if you're sober beer

Must admit treated myself to some of these http://www.waterford.co.uk/drinkware/by-collection... and find them very nice for drinking beer (as opposed to the assorted variety of pint glasses we have)

Among my collection of drinking vessels, I have selected a few at random:
1. From the open air bar at Terte Rouge, Le Mans 1979. I asked in my best schoolboy French if I could purchase it as a souvenir, and the barmaid just smiled sweetly and waved her assent. I even got to keep the glass as well.

2. This one is a sad momento of when they closed down my local pub. I assure you I did my best to keep it open.

3. This one is from one of our S Club fraternity who skillfully created a batch of these to special order. The only problem is the beer hits you in the eye after each swig.

4. My drinking vessel of choice, from our Ardennes hotel on one of our Eurotours.
Obtained using method as per example 1.

Shown alongside a standard pint pot to give an idea of scale.
It saves my old legs from unnecessary wear. wink

OP, if you prefer the quality of plastic, and don't mind waiting a bit, Asda will probably have these in stock round about the end of October at a very reasonable price.

Look out for special offers at your supermarket. Mine were doing a deal buy two 4 packs of Carling and get a free glass. I think I have 5 or six
They look like this
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Carling-Pint-Glass/dp/B009...

Also when you go to a beer festival you buy your glass on the way in and use it all day tasting/drinking beer. Take it home and you have a nice straight glass with a remnder of your day

laugh Let's hope he falls for it eh?

Also, OP, decant the beer from the bottle to a leather flagon for an increased authentic Ye Olde Inne feel.
