Yup I ate half a packet and my stomach started making some weird noises. Thankfully was at home so disaster averted! They taste lovely but wont buy again.

Yes these sweets should come with a public warning,
My lovely wife and myself decided we would go to Cheltenham horse races, this was booked as a Christmas present. We travelled the day before booking into a hotel.
On leaving from the north east its about a 4 1/2 drive ,my lovely wife had called at Aldi and bought 2 boxes of these sweets I called at Asda and bought a bacon sandwich and a sausage sandwich. We left about 10 ish at about 12 I ate my bacon sandwich and she ate half her sausage sandwich and gave me the rest as to not to waste it. We then decided to suck on the sweets we had a box each between us . When we got about 1 hour from our hotel my wife was complaining of a bad stomach and was asking to stop at the nearest motorway cafe, which happened to be Mc Donald’s. She went to the toilet and so did I for a wee I came out i was waiting and waiting I thought to myself has she fallen in there, eventually she came out explaining she had the runs. Back in the car for the remaining hours drive all of a sudden I started to experience extreme flatulence with my better half complaining about the smell, we eventually arrived at our hotel booking in rather quickly and me heading straight to the ensuite with the runs, me spending longer than my wife in there. When I came out we discussed what could have gave us the runs we came to the conclusion it was the sausage sandwich. We spent the next few hours in and out the en-suite working out wether would have to cancel the next days trip to the races. We only discovered about the sweets when my wife threw out the sweet boxes and read the description on the box , so if any needs a good clean buy a box of these sweets my wife and myself can vouch for them.😕😕 can I just say tho ,, we were ok the day after and we had gr8 time at the races 👍😄

Watch out for sweeteners as replacement for sugar when you have a coffee. Forget the thing about getting cancer from them. It won't stay in your body long enough for you to get cancer. wink

I ate a stick of sugar free rock in one go.

I can confirm the effects upon one's bowels. In fact I think you have all understated it.

Bought a packet of sherbet lemons from the local farm shop, not realising they were sugar free and ate most of the packet during the course of an evening.
I am quite sure I lost 2 kilos in 4 hours. yikes

As I said several years ago, avoid artificial sweetners unless you understand them.
