I plan on making it for the first time this year, using Delia, as the others I've read don't sound as good smile

Have any of you got anything you prefer please?

My mum did one once.... she wasn't happy with all our reactions.... 20yrs on she still mentioned it..... obviously massive issue to her, be careful.... it wasn't bad but not to our acquired taste of Tesco/misses peaks/waitrose puddings we had become accustomed to...... to much texture/nuts,,, basically all the things I would appreciate now (aged 45 and 11 months), but not as a 12 year old kid

I made my first Christmas Pudding last year using this recipe.

It tasted much better than any shop bought pudding.

I do this recipe but substitute 2oz of the breadcrumbs for plain flour. Super easy to make.

I've always made it in a slow cooker: 1 hr on high and about 20 hrs on low.

Whichever recipe you go for, do it in a slow cooker. It makes a huge difference.

I'm not a massive fan of Christmas pudding s the first time I cooked Christmas dinner for my parents I did a Christmas pudding ice cream - most of the ingredients of a Christmas pudding in a homemade ice cream. I've made it several times since and it goes down well with everyone as it's a bit different
