after the first two I was expecting him to tell us to put the kiwi in the glass with water and shake it.

hehe

When you realise the kiwi isn't ripe enough, you'll just remove the skin from your arm from the wrist to the elbow. wink

Who doesn't prepare a pepper like that anyway?

Um. Well, I just slice the white bits, stick a hand in and drag it out before stuffing it.

I've never popped the stem out like that, I usually chop around it.

Well you would do if you want to end up with a container for stuffing. I might try the top and tail method when chopping one for a stir fry

I didn't have sound on so what was the point of the banana one? Surely it's easier to peel it and use a knife.

My top tip: topping and tailing French beans is much easier in the packet. Shake them to one end, chop, shake them to the other and chop again. It even leaves the end in some wrapper and easier to clear away.

I think it's a prank, we did similar as kids with a needle & cotton.

This, ready sliced banana when someone else opens it.

Other different way of splitting a banana is to peel it and then push your finger in from the end and down into the banana which will split into thirds

Ah, OK, I will have to do it to the kids' bananas one day.

Same as me, I probably cook with peppers 4 nights a week and can't believe I didnt think of this.

Making the little one some food for the week and the recipe calls for a pepper, garlic and potatoes. Tried all 3 and it has saved loads of time and also a bit of wastage.

Cheers for the link op.

Tried the potato tip last week and it worked brilliantly, skins didn't came as well as his but a lot easier than peeling them first.
