My current favourites are Monkey 47 (thanks to PH for the recommendation), Sir Robin of Locksley, Cotswold and King of. Soho. Bit disappointed with The Botanist tbh - perfectly pleasant but was expecting more. On the other hand Monkey 47 had a lot to live up to (even Robert Parker raves about it) and it certainly delivered.

I love Monkey 47, it is the best gin I've ever tasted!

I've got a bottle of Botanist that I've not opened yet and people rave about it, hopefully I'm not disappointed by it.

After a visit to Islay, and exceeding my life time whisky allowance, I tried Botanist Gin, very pleasant.
This is very very drinkable. Available in 1l at a good price in duty frees in Europe !

Bought my sis a bottle of this for her birthday last year and having being allowed to sample it, was very impressed, especially for something you can pick up in Morrisons!
Saw this in Tescos last night for £18. I was a 50/50 but went for a Tanqueray instead. Im not 100% on the spiced bit, not a fan of spiced rum.

Wife drinks G&Ts, we usually have 7 or 8 gins on the go. Tanqueray 10 or Warner Edwards are perennial favs but this and the regular Citadelle are always number one choice.

Botanist is the only gin I can enjoy 'straight' without any mixer.

Used to drink Beefeater Crown Jewel (stopped being produced in 2009) Looks like it's being re-introduced for a limited time

Beefeater Crown Jewel

Now a big fan of Hendrick's with Fever Tree Tonic (though I do forego the slice of cucumber and prefer it with a lime/Lemon wedge)

I am getting through a bottle of this stuff:

Samphire gin distilled in Mullion, Cornwall by an ex girlfriend's brother. Tastes great, particularly with cucumber in it.

Thread revival...

I've recently foregone any garnish in my gin, preferring less mixer than previous and enjoying the flavours of the gin.
is there any better than Salcombe Gin? lick

I tried Dingle gin while out in London a little while ago. It’s now my favourite gin!
