Ouch! I wouldn't have bought ours at that price.
Can I ask why?

Ive been looking for one to crop up for sale second hand but have had no luck.

Yes its extremely expensive, and the wife will kill me for spending so much. But hopefully nice pizza will compensate.

I was going to build a small pizza oven anyway which would have been a similar cost. And hopefully this should do for camping.

It's a good piece of kit but that's into pre-cast oven territory.

It's bloody heavy and retains heat very well so isn't something that you'd take for a day out - a week's camping would be a different thing.

£500 is a lot of coin. I spent a lot less on my Uuni 2S and I'm fairly happy with it. Only managed to use it a few times and there are some niggles that need addressing (main one is pellets falling onto the cooking area when refuelling) but aside from that it's spot on.

I saw that, but its a similar cost to the Roccbox and I didn't like the look of it. One of the things that put me off the Uuni 2 was the chimney. The pro looks bigger.

I have an unopened Roccbox (grey) - I got bored of waiting and bought a Kamado Big Joe instead so my Roccbox is sitting in the garage. Would be happy to part with it for the right price. Am based near Barnet - would rather not have to arrange shipping given size and weight etc.
PM me if interested

Parcel received in double quick time thanks. Bloody shame I'm away all weekend so wont get a chance to use it next wee.

First thing that is apparent is the bloody weight of it. It's certainly not that portable.

It feels really good quality though.

What is everyone using for gas?

Indeed, it's a right pain to cart around (several hours after it was fired, since it stays hot for so long). They need to develop an outdoor cover asap, since it's not weatherproof as it stands.

I bought one of these from IKEA It comes with the slatted top, but you can but a separate S/S top http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/tables/outdoor-...

With a gate leg thingy screwed to the fence for putting stuff on http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/tables/outdoor-...

and a Parasol to cover. http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/parasols-gazebo...

You can see it a bit to the back right of the pic, the Uuni sits against the fence where the slats are, works for me. The trolley has a cover so I can slip the Uuni in the lower shelf and put the cover over the trolley and keep it outdoors all year, plus with it being on wheels if it's a bit windy I can move it about to get a bit of shade from the wind.

Cover... http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/textiles-rugs/o...

First Pizza made tonight in the Roccbox.

Done at about 400degrees as I couldn't wait any longer as it was getting a bit late.

My dough wasn't the best either.

Still it was bloody good pizza for a first attempt.
