Chinese mushroom curry with chips and a couple of pancake rolls:
And tonight's 1/2lb garlic mushroom burger from a local pizza place, I thought I'd deviate, it was awesome:
Great looking burger, I can get a decent 1/2lb here but not with mushrooms...which I would love! That Chinese looks a bit ropey though, iffy chips and manky looking rolls, I think they need to change their oil.And tonight's 1/2lb garlic mushroom burger from a local pizza place, I thought I'd deviate, it was awesome:

That's it. If you frequent a 'decent' kebab house, no worries. I'm sure there are unscrupulous manufacturers of this particular foodstuff out there, but for the most part what you have written is just an old wives tale.

I'm curious, has anyone bought kebab meat from a supermarket?
I know asda used to sell some ready meal afew years back but I never bothered to try it. Iceland sells frozen doner meat on it's own.

OT it is easy to make.Buy some lamb mince, add to bowl. Add lemon, lime, chilli(flakes or fresh), garlic, rosemary, ginger and Turkish spices.
Wrap around a few skewers stick in fridge for a few hours and grill. I usually grill it off with some veg and add to kebabs. Really simple.
