I wonder if he will review the vegan fried chicken that's coming out next year?

London to get 'world's first vegan fried chicken' takeaway (Evening standard link)

having said that, that's not what he's about.

Yesterdays particularly filthy takeaway. The food wasn't filthy, far from it but I ate it on a knackered bus like a tramp :P

4 x 24" pizza between 6 lads before the boxing. An ok effort with 1 whole pizza remaining but there will be time for seconds later

I've heard a kebab shop in Rusholme mentioned a few times.

Is it any good? Happy to drive over there if its a GOOD kebab of meat, rather than just particularly dirty and grim!

Thanks!

If you want a good one you have Rusholme Chippy or Saajans is also good.

However if you want proper traditional Turkish doner with proper doner sauce the only place (take away) in Manchester (AFAIK) is Heritage on Cheetham Hill high street. Next to Cake Box. Parking is a PITA any time before 9pm though. They also do proper chicken shawarma and doner mix which is about a kilo of meat.

Last week was really suffering from a good dose of man flu so had to resort to my local chip shop that does traditional steak in gravy over chips... proper stuff!

Can we just check that the Cheetham Hill recommendation is valid and you weren't hammered when you posted?

I'll make a trip over and risk car theft for the real deal.

Sadly no steak and gravy on chips option here so I opted for a 3/4lb cheese and onion ring burger.

£4.89 with chips

I was working in Perth earlier this week so thought I had to try one...

I barely made a dent in it.
