10 quid for a raw burger in a cardboard box rofl

This really shows that Londoners will buy anything if they think it's 'on trend'.

That's really a question of "how long is a piece of string"

Also don't underestimate the amount of prep that has to go into making the "3 hours for 2k" go smoothly.

Not sure if that was good or bad for £12.

Is that a breast piece of fried chicken? Did you ask for that? I always ask for leg & thighs myself.

No I didn't ask. Am a leg/wing man myself.

£12 for a mixed bab on packet naan bread and 1 piece chicken and chips? Definitely bad. Round these parts you could have dined like a king for £12

Bad, you could get half the menu round here for £12, not a skinny portion of donner meat and over fried chicken.

Sadly they aren't that cheap anymore.

Leeds, so not that far up. I work for a company that makes websites and apps for takeaways so naturally I end up seeing a lot of different menus in the office. £12 would go a long way going by the prices in some menus.

I might order what i call "the nuclear option" tonight from the local turkish kebab house. I've been told it's ridiculous and it's £10. Pictures might be appearing in a few hours

Slightly off topic from the thread - I'll start another if there's enough interest. I've recently been fascinated by the economics of the street food scene. Take one gazebo, a couple of trestle tables and three £8 / hour beardy weirdies, and in the right location I reckon you can take £2k over a 3 hour lunchtime. I can pretty much work out the ingredient costs, and the equipment costs, but I've got no idea how much these people charge for a pitch. Given that some of the stalls have pretty much no queue over a lunch period, and others have a constant queue of 30 or 40 people, the pitch costs can't be that high. If anyone has any insights into this, I'd be really interested.
Me too.
£80 for a pitch at fenchurch street

you must make some good money though. Many of the gourmet junk food places these days started out as just stalls. Pizza Pilgrims started out as one and now they've got afew locations. While I've never eaten anything from The Ribman he has been round for a good few years but still only operates every sunday and every west ham home game.
