Another week another parmo

This time it seems that it's everyone's favourite dish rather than the norths favourite dish

Probably the best one I have had in Leeds. Close to matching the ones I used to have when working at HMP Durham.

That is more or less spot on plus you got red onions.
I was impressed with the amout of red onions. I find they help to cut through the richness of a parmo and that one was rather rich. The bechamel was ridiculous, proper stick to your arteries kind of stuff. Needless to say I'll have to watch what I eat for the next week to make up for it.

That's not a kebab, that's a fecking disgrace. It's as bad as that munchy box on the last page.

Moved offices this week. I now have the option of having freshly cooked beef donner for breakfast.

Why eat doner when there's shish or seekh to be had?
Beef? WTF? Jam in the lamb.
Breakfast? Are you mental?
I'd much prefer shish but the place specialises in doner
Most takeaways will advertise and sell "meat doner" which is a mix of beef, lamb, chicken and questionable stuff. This is straight up beef and a spice mix.
Breakfast because the factory tends to test batches by cooking the product in the morning. I am slightly mental but probably not mental enough to eat doner at that time. That being said, I have had takeaway for breakfast many a time.

^ Stingy on the chips at this place?
They were hidden under the meat. Got back to the hotel room to find that the only sauce I had in the room was a minature bottle of tabasco so laced it with that.

Two for me from this week

Average chicken burger meal with a terrible cheese burger chaser from Tuesday night whilst working a long day.

Terrible 3pc chicken and chips with salad and sauces from the following day.

One from a recent trip to Saudi Arabia. Smashburger, cracking burger. Way ahead of Mcdonalds, Hardees, BK etc

Yup brioche bun but the burger was rubbery and tasted horrible. Smashburger in comparison was sodding outstanding.

Day off from work with man flu so a hot shot parmesan was in order to try and heal me.

I feel bad for your southerners. I present exhibit A in why the south sucks for takeaways.

A below average mixed grill that I ordered from some place in Canada Water a few nights ago. Very little change left from a £20 note. I could have had a proper feast for the same amount back home in Leeds!

2 weeks left of my self imposed takeaway embargo. This thread isn't helping!

Venus in Holbeck are good. Not been to Gzing in a while but it was always spot on. Haftsin on Burley Rd is meant to be good. I'm a big fan of the mixed grill from Shawarma opposite Leeds Uni, the garlic sauce is superb with it.

That does look rather depressing. A proper chicken donner always hits the spot, sadly I only have a few reliable establishments and both of them are a minimum of 40 min round trip from me.

Exgtt - yup, deadly delicious chilli sauce. They've change their stock since thankfully! I work down the road in Beeston so I'll have to drop by there again soon.

Thanks. I'm up at the Uni in a few weeks, I'll try it then.
I can also recommend a place called Caravanserai in Leeds city centre. Cracking middle eastern food and reasonably priced.
