the munchy box is a selection of the menu in a pizza box. It's for when you can't make your mind up what you want so you get a bit of everything.
It's like The Fat Duck taster menu hehe

Up here kebab shops started it and the other takeaway places have followed.

You can get the chinese munchy box, the chippy munchy box and I've heard of greasy spoons doing a breakfast munchy box.

Here's the last munchy box I had. The munchy box 'diamond'

menu said:
Pizza box filled with chicken pakora, lamb tikka, chicken tikka, chicken chaat, chips, cheese, donner meat & pitta bread, salad, sauce & soft drink (add naan bread for £1 extra)
Also available the silver, gold and mega munchy box in various pizza box sizes from 9 to 16 inches.

I actually haven't had any takeaway filth in about 6 weeks.
After posting that I can see a purchase being made later this week...

Noticed on of e places near me (cheshire) now has parmo on the list, may have a try.

I need to suggest munchie boxes to a few places, I need those in my life.
Marios Pizzeria in Manchester does them.

On the subject of parmo's, heres mine from last saturday:

Its not quite a genuine parmo, the bechamel has been replaced by tomato sauce they use on their pizza's. The onion rings are there to get the free delivery and where great cold the next day. Garlic mayo in the tub. From the take away in Dunnington, just outside of York.

It was a bit crispy on the edges, but not enough to stop the enjoyment.

Talking of parmos, I turned 29 today so it seemed like a suitable way to celebrate...

A new takeaway has opened up nearby so I gave it a go, played it safe with a Chicken Tikka Masala:

Apparently they've got the Purple Garlic in Silsden if anyone knows it.
Dish was ok, a lot of liquid and the Naan was a bit rubbery (why are takeaway Naans always like this?) will try something a bit more adventurous another day....

Mainly due to a lot of take aways (and restaurants these days) using plain flour rather than chick pea flour to save money but its really noticeable in the end result.

We've always used plain flour in naans at home. I've noticed more takeaways using pre made naans from supermarkets and wholesalers. They also tend to sweat in the bag on the journey from the takeaway to your door and that doesn't help.
