Was introduced to them a few months ago, and as any exiled Scotsman will tell you, it's hard to get a quality Scotch pie outside of Scotland, so gave them a try.

Magic! Took me back to a time of staying at my Grans on the weekend, watching wrestling, knight rider, a team, etc, with a fresh pie and beans. Great times.

The steak pies are lovely too.

I used them for a 2.5kg rib of beef over Christmas.

The meat was excellent, delivery was almost to the minute when they said it would be and as a bonus, they sent my order twice but only charged me once biggrin
Cheers, good to know! Need to do some shopping now smile

I've got to say, I'm very rarely that bothered by prices, and as long as things are within a reasonable margin of what I'm used to, I'm not really that bothered, but as has been said above, they really are astonishingly expensive. In fact I think I could order from another company, paying retail prices and sell on, still undercut them, and make a profit....

King crab £38 a kilo from king crab, £84.60 from the fish society, and its similar with other stuff. Only the lobster seemed to be equally priced. Astounding.

i use DOnald Russell in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. the steak is fantastic and dtheir regular deals are amazing. my christmas meat came from there.

I live in inverure so they drop it round in the van or i'll pick it up on the way home so free delivery!
Love their steaks (though I wish they did more single ones) and their burgers are to die for, however I thought their sausages were poor and their haggis was a disgrace.

Don't use an online butcher but there's a butcher 40 miles from here that delivers free every 2 weeks. I don't get meat from anywhere else as the quality is excellent, and it's cheaper than the local supermarket.

Yep. Turner and George. Absolutely love everything I've got from them, and the service is just superb!
Me too with Turner and George who used to be the East London Steak Company.

Had Christmas delivered by them. Twas good. I think they are good at everything, but particularly good with beef. My local farm shops just don't seem to do as well.
