It's refreshing to see one loaded effic8rather than the one after the other spaced out diagonal slices with a croissant chaser you know is going to get stuck, set of fire and set the smoke alarms off.

They're not perfect but I agree they can do a decent job when set correctly (although I like my toast lightly done so may be an easy sell).

Yeah croissants cause havoc at the hotel breakfast

The queue at the toaster evokes much anger and frustration, not knowing if the slice that has dropped is yours, not knowing if someone else is going to claim it as theirs, putting the slice back in because it is underdone - only it wasn't your slice, you pushed in without realising.
All that stress and anger......suppressed, naturally, because we are British.

Pick a corner off your slices...
