I'm not sure but I think Malaga is World Duty Free, so if the prices are similar to the UK then these are the only real deals I could find compared to shop/internet prices(Master Of Malt):-

Gatwick Duty Free
Laphroaig PX Cask 1 litre £51.99 (normally £89.18)
Laphroaig Au Cuan Mor 70cl £63.99 (normally £84.83)
Laphroaig QA Cask 1 litre £39.99 (normally £56.95)
Ardbeg Corryvreckan 70cl £51.99 (normally £64.86)

Seems like they must have a deal with Laphroaig, because pretty much everything else is 10-30% more than you get in supermarkets/online.

in other news.... not going near that Ardbeg Kelpie... sounds a bit rank. I'd try it, but i am not buying.

HOWEVER.... who's had the communique about the new Ardbeg 21??? I will absolutely be chucking some coin at that.
Me too but £310 is a little more than I was expecting.
st. How did you find out the price?!
It's on most of the whisky/spirit blogs and websites.

Problem is, wait for the reviews and you'll have missed the chance to buy.
It's available now....

I'm flying out myself today, so wanted to see if anything worth having.
Last time I got a bottle of the Au Cuan Mor, and have to say it was fantastic. Killed it in 2 weeks in St Vincent though, so might have to restock.

Bought mine this morning too. I must say, the last two purchases of Ardbeg i've made on the day have been no problem since they switched to the Moet Hennesey website for buying. Seemingly gone are the days of pressing F5 for hours on end.

All ordered but sent to a UK address and I will be back for New Year's. It will most likely be sold out in the next 2 hours or so.

I must have, rather fortuitously, order mine just before they were sold out. Now i've got to sneak it home without the better half noticing.

I do hope that the Kelpie release is next year as i'm pretty much up to my limit on Ardbeg purchases this year!

I wonder how many bottles were available? Also will they do the thing where they release more at a later date like they did with some of the Ardbeg day bottlings?

I'm sure that there will be a non members release at some point. I'm curious what they will be going with the remaining stocks as they have 'only' bottled half of the stock that they purchased back. Ardbeg 25 and 30 year olds?

i don't think there are going to be public releases.

I think it's about time they limited these releases to 1 bottle per customer rather than 2.

That would at least allow a much wider distribution of stock whilst, perhaps, stopping quite so much of it (immediately) finding its way onto the auction sites.

i feel quite sure due to the rapid sell out that these were mainly investors. Let's not forget they don't vet who joins the committee.

It would be interesting to see what happened if they did that - are there actually enough people who would pay £310 if they did limit it to 1 bottle? I guess it also depends on how many they actually have too. The release in Sweden is only 1 per person, but I suspect that will probably sell out anyway.

Don't see why not. Seems to be loads who dropped £620 on bottles.

investors... as above. I'd happily drop that much on 2 bottles even if i didn't care for whisky, if i knew i could get a decent return. Might get 100% return in 2 years.
