They've apparently got a 1975 armangac too, I may have to pop back.

Update with your thoughts on those!

Yes I read that too, sadly I didn't see any in the cabinet otherwise I would have got that one to...

My birthday in a few weeks so have ordered this as a pressie to myself.

Was £47 on Amazon which I thought was pretty reasonable. Thought I'd try one of their cheaper offerings first before going down the very expensive route.

Also have a Lagavulin Distillers Edition and Pussers 15 on the way too.

Fairly sure that Kavalan is on offer at £47 in Waitrose as well.

Additions to my collection over the last couple of months. Really enjoying the Jura and pleasantly surprised at how smooth the Glenfiddich is.

On the Jura theme, really liked their 10yo, tried the Superstition yesterday and that was really nice too...

I'm a massive fan of this Aberfeldy, so easy to drink. I'm yet to have someone try it that doesn't love it.

I've found an Islay that doesn't taste like a working mans club ashtray... Bunnahabhain 12yo.... Really really nice IMHO.

Finally caved to the offers and took advantage of a couple of £4 off a £40 spend in Waitrose. Bunnahabhain 12 for £28 in Waitrose and it's one Ive not tried yet so plumped for that (bottle of Campari took it over £40).

Had my first Port Ellen yesterday - have to say I really enjoyed it. Then today I had some Highland Park Earl Magnus which was also decent.

Rare for me to be going beyond supermarket or duty-free single malt offers, but I've just bought this from a local shop:

It's from these people: www.damhile.co.uk

The distillery is close to me here in Wales and I've enjoyed their brilliant botanical gin for some time. But they always intended to be whisky producers and apparently this now means that Wales can formally market itself as a whisky producing nation under EU legislation, (-now that it has 2 distilleries, the other one being Penderyn by Brecon).

I'm dying to have a taste, but also wondering if the tiny initial production run (190 bottles) might lead to it becoming collectable. They're speaking to a local Uni to consider reviving and (growing their own) old local varieties of grain which is interesting and there's apparently a single malt coming in 2019...

good to hear about this, wales should produce more spirit. Pendryn is certainly distinctive, hopefully this is equally so!

£49.95 was the original sale price back when it first came out. You can't get hold of the stuff now, hence why it says current market price is £100-120.

Recently tried the 18, it was lovely I must admit.
