Is it NAS?
Dunno what that means in whisky terms. It is when a whisky company brands their whisky as the 'Peaty no 1 from by the Sea' edition to cover up the fact that they are selling it young - rather than selling it as the number of years it has been stored... usually because it is being sold at 5 or 8 years and if you put that on the bottle no-one would buy it, we see 10 years as the minimum on the bottle, even though technically it can be sold as whisky from 3 years old...
some interesting background on the 3 years here: https://scotchwhisky.com/magazine/ask-the-professo...

I like it.

Oh ok. Dunno why they don't just put "5 year old" or whatever.
I like it.
Because people broadly expect to pay more for older whisky. If a distillery releases a 5yo age statement, they’d likely have to price it below their other older offerings. If they give it a funky name and don‘t say how old it is, they can charge what they think they can get away with.I like it.

Great choices. I tried the Fettercairns at this year’s Whisky Show and absolutely loved each one. Possibly helped by the fact the lady at their stand was Scottish and brilliant. Glenfarclas (and Glendronach) are personal weaknesses, I just love them. A favourite is the 25 bought a few years ago before the crazy price hike - sadly have about 3 cl left in the bottle, that’s a blow. But the younger ones are just delicious too - might have to now head over to MoM for a 15!

Can I ask what the rules are for this? I have a small collection but don't know if it would be worth posting pictures.
Thanks
If the collection is whisky then the rule is you are required to post a picture, or multiple pictures of it. Not showing us your whisky is not allowed. Collection, investment bottles, current drinkers, whatever. If it's whisky then show us.Thanks
