Ultra-high temperature processing (UHT.)
I knew that! I wasn't asking the difference between long life and fresh milk, but the difference between the choices of long life milk brands. I was more curious about value/smart price milk.I only ever have milk on my cereal and in my coffee and I don't notice any difference

My family lives on Tesco Everyday Value UHT Milk and we haven't died of Social Embarrassment yet. We don't even decant it into cut glass when we have guests, and none of them have died either.

If you like soya milk, Tesco's own brand is quite nice, doesn't need to be refrigerated until opened, and nearly half the price of Alpro.
I'd stick with soya milk if it didn't curdle in my coffee!Edited by Digger on Wednesday 25th May 15:55

Interesting, we don't use cow's milk at home, only Alpro, but as you allude, it's rather pricey!
