The taste of these beers have improved beyond belief, could also be useful for those on meds. There's nothing that can quench the thirst like an ice cold one on a stinking hot day. I'm old enough to remember this stuff, tasted like fermented camel p*ss.

The funny part being Lawrie getting done for drink driving soon after. My name is Lawrie Mcmenenemy and I've only had a nan of carbican occifer.

Another vote for Nanny State, very hoppy so not to everyone's taste but you can tell it is a Brewdog product very easily. As said before it just lacks the body of a normal beer.

Working in a bar as a student many years ago I remember we only sold about 1 bottle of Kaliber per week, this was a very busy bar as well. Things have come on a bit since then but my experience is that a very large majority of punters tend to opt for conventional soft drinks.

Sorry I just don't get non alcohol beer, there are far more refreshing drinks to have when avoiding alcohol. Maybe just me though...
I can't see the point either.
If you like the taste of hops but don't want the alcohol what is the alternative?

I don't believe there is one.

I like Tonic Water with lemon, but every other soft drink I have tasted has been just too sweet and sugary. I quite like an iced tea to drink on its own, but as soon as you try to eat food with it, it just tastes sweet and so ruins the food.

I am sure there is a latent need for "non sweetened" soft drinks for adults.

I buy Becks Blue for the school nights when I want a bit of refreshment and relaxation without the thick head the next morning. It's amazing how the taste of something that you assiciate with being alcoholic can bring about some of the same psycological effects.

A lot of these taste too sweet, like Bavaria. Nanny state is hoppy but you can think it tastes a bit too much, like chemicals. Due to personal preference of course.

The low alochol ciders are not too bad.

The Becks Blue is fine, the small bottles mean you tend to end up having to take quite a few, why not 660ml versions?

I tend to have Bavaria, I like their weissbeer better than the original. Becks blue as well.
Didn't like Cobra and haven't searched for any others. Will try some of the others mentioned here.

I was surprised by the wide range of alcohol free beers available in Spain. My favourite is Finkbrau, only available in Lidl in Spain. Bargain price too at 0.27€ per 33 cl tin. Sadly, Lidl UK don't stock it.

On a recent visit to Germany, despite Finkbrau being made there I couldn't find it in any Lidl store.

Recently discovered San Miguel 0,0 which is not too bad. If on-call for work and need to stay sober while a big footy match is on this is my go to choice.

I'm not surprised, gave me a stinking headache the following morning.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who get a hangover from drinking the non-alcoholic stuff!

Becks blue is alright, only acceptable near ice-cold for me. As mentioned earlier, would be handier if you could find it in larger cans.
Bitburger "Drive" is pretty acceptable. Clever name.
Nanny state is authentic tasting, but I can't deal with overly hoppy drinks much (gives me the sts!).
Bavaria just tastes odd, unless its gotten better recently?
Cobra alcohol free, only good for flushing down the bog.

Prefer a non alcoholic beer when i'm out, don't like being DD and drinking cola all night, getting wired on it.

Clausthaller is very drinkable for a N/A beer, it's very difficult to tell the difference.
For those questioning the point, if you don't drink it gets really boring explaining why you don't like getting hammered.
If you have a bottle in your hand then people don't ask as they assume.

If I'm not drinking N/A beer then soda water and a chunk of lime works for me.

Best Alcohol free beer I've ever drank is Erdinger. It's in a dark bottle with a blue label. As far a no alcohol beer goes it's tasty and refreshing.

This thread is great. I never knew there were so many options! I just need to find places that stock them now. scratchchin

Amazon might be your best bet if you want to save the legwork.

First result for Erdinger brings up 12x500ml "Alkoholfrei" for £14.40. Might get some for myself

I wasn't that keen on Erdinger, but perhaps I was expecting it to taste like their ordinary product. I may have to give it another try.

Not a beer but Fosters Radler 0% is great, shandy-like lemonade.
