Have some of this in the cupboard:

I grew these for the last two years. I don't have a plant this year after the last one died. Definitely tread with caution. I ruined a chilli con carne using a whole one as no-one could eat it! It's a nice tasting chilli if used sparingly and it's a pain to grow.

Excellent thanks for sharing - will pick some up!

I have some reaper puree (https://www.amazon.com/Reaper-Puree-Net-Wt-FL/dp/B0097YI480) which is excellent, and some fresh (now frozen) Moruga Scorpion, but never tried fresh reaper.

I'm not far off running out of homemade chilli sauce. Will have to give these a whirl in the next batch furious

How is it?

and how are their sauces in general, ignoring the stupid hot stuff, do they taste good?

Are they hotter than the Guatemalan Insanity Chilli?

The SDCF products are generally very good.

If you're ever in South Devon it's worth a visit, you can taste all the products - no pressure to buy.

They have nice range of Chilli Chocolate too, if that's your thing smile

ETA - forgot to answer the question ... it is as you would expect, extremely hot smile

Most people though can cope with a bit of a cracker dipped (just the corner mind) into the sauce. Initally, it's not too bad but then it comes in .. hard biggrin

More often than not, people have another dibble or two ... it's verging on addictive, IF you like the Chilli hit

Strangely they say Komodo Dragon on the label then Reaper in the small print. Since the KD is I think 2nd hottest in the world I'm not sure anyone would be able to tell the difference anyway. Not tried yet but look mean enough.

Added a couple to a chilli I'm making, tried a piece of the first one (pinkie nail size) and was hot but a bit dissapointing, I've tried hotter. Second one though had some serious heat to it, hard to rank them at this level really but not sure I've tried a hotter fresh chilli, and my experience includes Naga Morich (ghost chilli), Dorset Naga, Viper and Moruga Scorpion.

Suggest everyone buys plenty so you can find a good'un!

Love the scorpion tail.
