They are located bang next to Mercedes Benz UK Head Office, and 1/2 a mile from VW UK
...and next to VWFS head office, and 1/2 mile Daimler insurance, Coca Cola etc.
So they do get plenty of suits in there but I've also seen plenty of tradesman and others who want something a bit better than a chilled prepacked sarnie from the Sainsburys Local on the same parade.
Roast pork and apple sauce baguette with crackling vs a chilled cheese triple meal deal? I know which I prefer. lick

But still not a leaf of fennel, petal of globe artichoke or caviar and quinoa combo to be see biggrin

Peasants those head office wallahs.

Edited to add - Dean, get your arse back on here and tell us what you settled on smile

Exactly. Relatively basic sandwiches, prices not too far off that of the supermarkets.

6 quid artisan products they are not.

Why would you go to the awful chippy/chinese with the grumpy horrible woman owner when you could have Percy's BBQ from next door?

I used to get free Chinese from them in there as I sold them some cars back in the day, lovely people.

Percy's is not bad also, but wasn't there when I lived in Willen. Really miss it, apart from the smell in the summer.

Is there enough MK PH'ers for a meet?

I think many people would suggest that the best quality sandwiches come from M & S and I'd certainly agree - always fresh, good quantity of filling, good range of filling and very good on price. Always seems odd that the other large retailers (Asda, Tesco, Sainsburys etc) still manage to put out fairly rubbish sandwiches. I'm actually quite surprised that M & S don't charge more as they're hardly a loss-leader to get people into the store. If you've got a M & S near your shop you'll always suffer from their competitively good value sandwiches.

The answer to that is £3.50 meal deal.

Sandwich, crisps / chocolate and 500ml drink for that kind of money - the quality is bound to suffer!

or £3 at Tesco, even in the city - I'm a fat git and top-up with an "extra" egg sandwich though.

Considering this £3 gets you a sub - (£2.05 marked), Monster energy (£1.46 marked) and poshcorn (79p marked) it's pretty good value!

I used to work for a friend in a successful sandwich shop. All sandwiches/baguettes made to order. Could never make enough chicken based fillings, cut ham and cheese. We did a weekly special but that wasn't ever so special to make it popular. I agree that butter / marg/ mayo choice favoured.. Most people choose the same thing every day and only noticed we only noticed a change in habits if the weather got warmer and they moved on to salad bowls (money maker there!) and a fruit based bowl too. Extra money makers are the usual drinks, crisps, cakes. Quite important is quick friendly service.
So, my favourite is mature cheese salad minus the green stuff at room temp, none of that chilled stuff made yesterday.
Can't stand the smell of packaged catering chicken now, it smells of poop. Just saying.
