Those devious young chocolatiers at Toblerone have gone and made new moulds.

The space between the triangles is so wide, you can get your thumb in it.

So now, when you buy a Toblerone, you're buying more air and less chocolate.

One is miffed....BOO.

Happening with loads of chocolate bars. They've reshaped the Caramel bar, AKA they've stolen my bloody chocolate grumpy

Maybe my taste buds are shot then, it was utterly rank - it was like eating American chocolate.

Williamp says it has changed, so I think either of you need to post your Cadbury Bournville staff passes for the final reckoning as to who is right though!

I may be wrong, but do seem to remember that it was reported that
kraft did change exactly what went into
Dairy milk after they took control and many people claim a huge change in taste.
They also reshaped the bars and reduced the weight ( and obviously also the ammount you get for your money) alledgedly to increase the "in mouth experience" whatever the fk that is..

They changed the shape but not the recipe. They stopped using it in creme eggs.

Chocolate oranges are no longer made by Terry's. the segments now are scalloped so less chocolate than before but somehow same unopened shape.

I assume this is the superbowl stealing Kraft companies work as well.

On holiday a few years ago I got talking to a couple in the same hotel who had just retired from 40 yrs working at Cadburys factory near Birmingham. They told me that they had to stop claiming a 'glass and a half of milk in every bar' as it was no longer true. Also, the Dairy Milk bars were made in Poland, only Bournville dark chocolate ws made in the UK factory

Did you know Twix alter the ratio of chocolate to biscuit and toffee depending on raw material costs...

I noticed this. A travesty. Chocolate orange is my favourite.

Cadbury's Whole Nut has far less nuts than it used to have.

I guess nuts are more expensive than chocolate.

Most of the major manufacturers are "at it" one way or another..

Kit-Kat 4 finger now 40.5g (from 45g)
Kit-Kat chunky is barely 2 mouthfuls now
Most of the Mondelez (Cadburys/Kraft) £1 chocolate bags have just reduced in weight
Snickers are a joke size wise
Most Multi packs are "snack-size"

The government are trying to get all single serve bars to below 250Kcals, so manufacturers are reducing sizes, but not cost prices/RRPs.

As did I, they're on special in Tesco. Rubbish. Taste nothing like a double decker.
