Oops forgot to check at lunchtime but it does not appear that the voting has changed. So lamb it is get your thinking caps on.

I just copied some rules over from one of the previous completion

THE RULES OF ENGAGEMENT ARE AS FOLLOWS

  • One entry per person, must be cooked within competition time frame ( now to 12pm 6th November).
  • No more than 3 photos to be entered unless stated by the theme setter.
  • Food must be prepare by yourself as much as possible IE not putting a pre packed goat curry in the microwave.
  • new theme has to be set by the winner (depends on take up).
  • The poll will commence 7th November voting will last for a week.
Post your entries here.

Sounds good, 47 people polled? Should be a good turn out.

I don't think everyone who voted will submit an entry.

Would be a record if they did!

I'm in, going to be hard to decide on the theme though. Hopefully we can all come up with interesting takes on how to cook lamb

You see that's the problem, folks don't recognise quality in a plastic wrap when they see it, and you only need a griddle. How's the head? smile

Indeed not, but given that 22 people have rather perplexingly voted for lamb, you should be assured of at least that many!

Like I say I don't think that just because someone voted for lamb they will submit an entry. They might like lamb and are interested to see what people make as it may give them some ideas when they want to cook lamb.

I think I am settled on a dish, had to mail order some ingredients that I could not buy locally. Going to cook something for the first time, which is what I have done for all the PH competitions.

I entered several of the old competitions and even won one with a beef and oyster pie so I think it's good to see this being revived, lets hope it gets some decent support.

I forgot to cast a vote but might enter anyway as I bought some nice lamb cutlets yesterday and will probably be cooking them in one of my favourite ways over the weekend, no fuss, nothing fancy but delicious, I'll just have to remember to take a photo before I start eating them!

I've been to buy my lamb today and done the necessary butchery ready for tomorrow.

Loin, neck and breast.

Thinking of how to make the best of it.
