I would like to buy my (American) boss a Christmas present. He drinks Macallan 18 for preference, but I would like something a bit different.

Can anyone recommend anything? I've asked here before about Whisky, but nothing so expensive!

Thanks for any help.

Preferably less than the Macallan - so £150ish

Ideas start with Glen

Farclas - seen the 21yo is only £70 at Whisky Shop right now - I had to pinch myself to see if I read that right. But equally there is the 25yo in budget.

Dronach - 21yo Parliament

Thinking sideways - look to Dalmore (Amazon had King Alexander on offer tonight - we both missed it)- or a G&M bottling of Linkwood.

Glendronach is a good shout, as is Dalmore KAIII.

If you can find a Mortlach 16 Flora & Fauna, that's a good sherried dram.

I'd also be tempted by this... https://shop.glenfiddich.com/special-editions/glen... which also allows a personal touch. Far beyond other GFs.

Thank you for all the advice. Will have a look at all of those. Need it by Friday as I'm off at the weekend for work to America.

Thank you, I bought the Glenfiddich in the end.

Cool, hope he likes it.

I've had a few and they are way beyond the usual GFs you can buy (30yo excepted!).
