Stereo and Mono are both good, Mono has a vegan pizza crunch .
The chef at Bloc is getting really into vegan cooking and they're adding more stuff all the time. They do a vegan cooked breakfast with a vegan black pudding of his own design, I've not had a chance to try it yet but it's on my list.
The Hug and Pint on Great Western Road do good Asian food.
Kind Crusts is a vegan bakery in Dennistoun that does sandwiches, donuts, sausage rolls and their own version of the steak bake.
Pizza Punks will do a vegan pizza.
All that suggests that veganism is a farce. If vegan food is so great, why spend so much time making it taste like proper food? The chef at Bloc is getting really into vegan cooking and they're adding more stuff all the time. A lot of vegans don't eat meat for ethical reasons rather than not liking the taste. There's nothing wrong with eating something that's like meat but isn't.
There are many good reasons for not stuffing your face with piles of cheap factory farmed animal products.

This annoys me too, as sometimes I fancy a change.
Anything Middle Eastern / Indian vegetarian would capture my interest, but it's always the same old boring butternut squash soup and gopping goat's cheese tart.
Or - horrors - butternut squash and goat's cheese lasagna. Anything Middle Eastern / Indian vegetarian would capture my interest, but it's always the same old boring butternut squash soup and gopping goat's cheese tart.
It's not actually disgusting but it's weird, unappetising, horrible derisory nod at a meat-free meal.
The proliferation of Lebanese restaurants up here in Manchester has improved prospects locally a ton.
burgers coming with tomato salad pickles mayo and mustard as standard. i fking hate it all !!then waiting extra for that crap to be left out. just gimme the meat and cheese bds !! and as many say , anything not on a plate or those fancy cheffy buggers / masterchef wannabees, thinking a skidmark of sauce looks nice. no it looks like you wiped your arse on the plate before service. And deconstructed anything...why... couldnt you cook it as intended ?

my most annoying one is..
- places that say (i.e wagamama) the food will not arrive all at the same time but when it's done.
I just won't eat there anymore. I mean, it's not rocket surgery. I assume they've cooked the dishes before. 2 people order different dishes. From past experience , they know dish A takes 15 mins and dish B takes 10. Here's what you do. It's quite complicated but if you work at Wagamama, try and grasp it. my most annoying one is..

If you take the time of the quickest dish (dish B-10) from the time of the slowest dish (dish A-15) you are left with a number (in this case 5). Now, that's what we call the difference. Now put the slowest dish on to cook, and wait for that difference in time, before putting on the quickest dish. Then as if by magic, you will find they are both ready at the same time. Genius eh? The power of maths.

Breakfasts - baked beans have no place here and certainly not next to a fried egg.
I have never understood this. What is the issue? I hardly ever see a fry up advertised without them Gaz3376 said:

It is getting better where I live though, Glasgow has plenty of choice for veggie/vegan food.

Beans in a ramekin is so, so wrong. It's just pretentious twaddle used by cooks who like to think they're chefs.
