one of the chicken suppliers for nandos ,and kfc incidentally , is 2 sisters. who do not have the best reputation. it is mass produced and cheap chicken. as the public require.
The first time the chicken will see day light is on the plate . Also Chicken is probably going to be the biggest food risk ever. The stuff is full of drugs . they should call it "Crack meat" .

That would explain why it tastes so nice smile

2 Sisters are no better or worse than any other British chicken supplier. Yes, it's mass-produced but they're not the cheapest around.

Thai and Brazilian chicken are much cheaper even after shipping half way round the world.

You ever seen a Thai Chicken production Plant or a Turkish one etc ? I have and it aint pretty .

The best Turkish restaurants pride themselves on the quality of the meat .Seeing that most of it is on display for you to see . As for buying Chicken, we only buy from "Mike" at Swiss cottage farmers market . Supermarket stuff is all full of water , crack cocaine and colouring

They seem to. But like all mass produced things that have scandals from time to time. They seem to need one hell of a lot of chickens fast. So they could be up to all sorts of things. I believe Thailand , Vietnam etc produce most of the chicken consumed in Europe .

You want a "hot" thread......... start one on farmed fish !

The purchaser can only do so much to verify the provenance of the meat.

Btw where do you preferred Turkish restaurants get their meat from? I assume they will be halal butchers/abbatoirs, given that they're turkish?

Most buy the very best they can. Halal ? you try finding none halal chicken /meat these days ! Some will buy whole cases of chicken for £5 that is meant for dog food etc. They then soak it for 24 hours to try and get rid of the dye and smell. That is a very big business by all accounts

No they dont use a "FARM" they use a disgusting factory system. You want a REAL chicken and you will pay ££ and it will taste great (if cooked well )

You seem to have avoided answering the same question as to where they get their chicken verus nandos a number of times, given your supposed knowledge on the topic.

Nandos is ok, does a job as many sensible posters have said. Wouldn't tip there unless a server was a especially nice as it isn't cheap.

I'm not the biggest tipper to be honest and I worked as a waiter / barman a lot in my youth. I have never visited America and would find it incredibly dififcult to tip what is expected there when I eventually succumb.

You're delusional, and coming across as a pretentious tt.
The chicken you're eating at your Turkish place has led no better quality a life than the stuff that Nando's serve up. To try and claim anything to the contrary would be mental...

Big difference , cooked by chefs . Not food heaters . marinated correctly , the whole shebang . Little buggers might have had a bad life , but at least show it some respect in Death. A chicken knowing its going to be eaten in Nandos is one sad chicken. The same chicken knowing its going to a good restaurant can hold its head high knowing all the pain in its life was worth it !

Do it, its tasty, quick food in a casual setting. If it wasn't good it wouldn't be popular. Don't care if it's cooked by a chef or cook it's still tasty grilled chicken. IMO I think Brians opinion is very exaggerated, it makes me think of people who scoff at the idea of drinking cows milk, or those who slag coca-cola off and say 'but look what it does if you dissolve teeth into it!!'. etc..

Don't tip - anywhere. There should be no need whatsoever, it's just a con. If the staff are poorly paid then that's the owner's problem and, hopefully, the staff will soon find somewhere better.
Same here. I go as far as asking for service charge to be removed from my bill.
An old boss of mine actually subtracted 15% from a US restaurant bill that was given to him net of service but containing an indication that service was expected. So $100 should have become $115 but ended up at $85. The cashier said "Thank you sir" in total ignorance of what had been done. His (the boss) reasoning was that he would decide what and how much to tip, not the restaurant, and that dictating the fact of and the level of any gratuity regardless of merit was punishable by a fine.
