Do it, its tasty, quick food in a casual setting. If it wasn't good it wouldn't be popular. Don't care if it's cooked by a chef or cook it's still tasty grilled chicken. IMO I think Brians opinion is very exaggerated, it makes me think of people who scoff at the idea of drinking cows milk, or those who slag coca-cola off and say 'but look what it does if you dissolve teeth into it!!'. etc..
You must know me !!! Dont get me started on Coke Cola

hey each man to his own bone etc. But some of these high street places are a lot more expensive than some great places . Starcraps /Prets coffee etc, I can go to Sally clarks or Tap etc in London for less . so why do people think better places cost more ?

No, they just do the cooking not the serving .Brooklyn also could make a mean "Croque Monsieur " .

So the kids working in Nandos are just "food heaters" but the Beckham Kids are "chefs"???

Do you genuinely believe that the Beckham kids have been trained to a higher level than the staff working in Nando's?

I do love the subtle/not so subtle one-upmanship on PH, as I was saying to Jason Plato the other day (now there's a guy who knows his way around a donner kebab carving knife.....)

The Beckhams are use to the best food. They have friends that are in the food business etc etc . They where showed how to do the job by a trained chef . They do it well . get over it . Some here spend their money on watches , some cars ,some shrinks. I like good food and it does not have to cost a lot .

And yes I believe that despite the huge age differences .I bet Romeo could stand a better chance of forming a good meal . Than a nandos person. He would understand the basics and quality of ingredients a lot more .Sure they eat some Junk , they are teenagers. But meal for meal. They probably eat better than most of ever have or will .

I'm a infrequent visitor to food & drink. I buy chicken at £3.29/k and frankly as long as it's dead I couldn't care less where it came from.

But this thread delivers.

Eating good food doesn't make you a better chef in the same way that driving a Ferrari doesn't make you a better mechanic.

The fact that you state with some confidence that Romeo (whom you're probably never spoken to, let alone discussed his catering skills) is automatically a better chef than somebody who works in Nandos, based on nothing more than the fact that one has a rich mum and dad, suggests that your assessment of Nandos food is probably equally flawed and judgemental.

ETA which chef were they trained by and which restaurant do they work at? I'd love to sample their food....

I speak to them every time we visit .My little boy gets on well with them .David even took me for a short ride in his Classic 911 (Steve McQueen Replica) And he sat with my wife discussing the benefits of Private Healthcare. Hard luck if you dont believe me, That smacks as been insecure !
And customers there are not the type who will ask for selfies or bother them . And the place has managed to avoid the media looking finding for it for 3 years .

Romeo has a very strong interest in what he eats .He likes food and wants to know a lot more than your average teenager . Nandos is never ever going to be on a list of Good places to eat" for those that like quality food . Its just not going to happen . You need to deal with it . You take these kids on the American food channels .They could walk all over a nandos food heater .

Lets look at other point you mention.

A child is raised used to luxury cars etc .Just for fun we will say the father is a Ferrari nut. Son goes with his all the time to Ferrari , meets up at places like tracks and Goodwood etc. Gets driven in them all the time. learn about them from the best etc .He gets to about 16 year sold etc . Probably Even driven one .Telling me he wont have a better idea of Ferraris etc than some min wage Kwick fit guy who has done a basic City and guilds .

Interesting. Did David ever mention to you that he's a regular at Nando's?

Brooklyn also enjoys Nando's...6 times in 3 days!!!

Brooklyn works/worked at a small French coffee shop for £2,68/hr at the weekends but, according to you, this makes him a "chef" and far better than some "Nandos Food Heater"

That's all fine. But that's not what I said, is it? Simply driving a Ferrari does not make one a Master Tech. Eating good food does not make one a master chef. Neither does working in a cafe for £2.68/hr at weekends....

Both boys have never been paid what has been quoted by same article published by the media . Do you think a business would pay so little ? Not one of them could even locate the place . And not one of the boys worked in the in the public area. Yes they would bring food up etc . But the whole deal was to keep it as private as possible . In their own way they are a nice family .

As for Brooklyn Being a photographer ! Well he has been studying art etc . And with his family name things get easier . Like having the likes of "Rankin" playing teacher . Well let's hope Brooklyn pays his assistants ( a trade joke !)

Now , must stop , having lunch at "Spoonful" in Barnes . Fresh food good coffee and less than the "council places "
