Yup but that's Orlando for you!
Has it really become that expensive? I haven't been to the states for about a decade but even allowing for the exchange rate changes over the years, it was still always pretty cheap to eat out.

How is your constitution for a white castle?!

re. prices I'm in LV next month first time post pandemic, and planning on some disgusting food at 3am. can we expect similar prices to those around orlando in the likes of mcd's?

thanks, it never used to be too bad in taco bell/mcd's for post club/lounge drunchies, but all pre pandemic.

Looking at the prices of decent restaurants both on strip and downtown is an eye opener (i mean relatively they were always costly because of location but still just about reasonable, now even the likes of oscars have shot up) so assume takeaway has followed the same path.

Since when did the KFC twister wraps turn to st?

I remember really liking these. lettuce, tomato, peppery mayo. Now all they do is stuff it with a crappy red cabbage 'slaw. .

I mentioned this a while back and got shot down. They are really testing the elasticity of price - you gotta wonder when it'll snap..

Totally agree, when it was under a fiver I couldn't care less for the quality but at £7+ I expect something at least half decent. Que the people that eat at Five Guys etc jumping in and telling us we're cheapskates biggrin I do like McDonald's but they're taking the piss with their prices now.

They've been 'cheap' over the past few decades to drive customer loyalty. Now they're driving prices higher to generate the margin they want. Their competitive set isn't much cheaper (if at all). People will vote with their feet - it used to be an easy choice when out and about, it's not anymore.

And I thought £12+ was bad for 2 bacon rolls and a double sausage and egg muffin!
Daft prices now, especially at breakfast.
I would have used the burger van in the nearby car park, but the tax dodging git only took cash

Greggs are expanding massively. Interchangeable customer base and a similar offering, if not significantly cheaper (certainly for breakfast)

Five Guys does taste better but last time I went a burger fries & shake was £20. It was nice, but not £20 nice. I cant afford to just drop into a Five Guys with two kids for a decent price quick meal as that would be £60!!

And this is why McDonald’s cleans up when kids are involved especially young kids

i always buy the smallest fries option at five guys. They put so much in it might as well be the equivalent of 2-3 large fries from mcdonalds.
