Ducked into macs on the way to a (childs) birthday party for a saus and egg mcmuffin at 10:00 on a Sunday to take the edge off. Queue didnt look that bad - and literally the most straightforward order there is. Still took 15 minutes. Staff there used to be - not sure what the word is - more dynamic? Anyway - quicker at least...i dont mind it being crap if its fast and cheap, but now its not cheap or fast amymore.

After having one in Denver Airport I can definitely agree with this - just needed to go easier on the toppings so they didn't all fall out when eating.
The upside down Ms are a Manga promotion apparently.
I usually have a MCD's once a year or so, sometimes 3 years, sometimes twice a year. There isn't a local one around here, most are about 1/2 hr drives.
The first time I atended i thought i'd accidientaly walked into a chav version of the Nasa space shuttle launch control centre - dafuq is going on here. Everyone on screens or phone of somekind all over th place, and no staff counters.
Luckily there was someone on the new ordering machine infront of me, and despite my dire self awareness (which came into effect when I try to jump the queue(!), I managed to catch on that everyone does their order through these screens and not via people now.
So waiting for one infront to be free and surpringsly managed to orde rmy 2 bug mac meals and choccy shakes,, cheese burger and mcnuggets (Yeh, don't go very often so make the most of it). Even managed to order some extra tommy K.
Fooking WELL CHUFFED. so pay money and grab my ticket and walk straught up to the counter, even though others were waiting. It was then an employee pointed out I needed to wait for my oder number, much to the evils from a few of the othe waiting, Just help my hands up to say "sorry first time getting these for years" and waited fior my number....
It wasn't great, a couple of the burgers weren't very warm and there was no Tommy K.
As an older generation guy who hates tech, hayes change (tihnk grandpa simpsom) and easily confused , I was gernally chuffed to come out of there with what I actually wanted...... Rate that as a top ten achievement in life
Tasted OK after I went in and got my Tommy K that was missed.......

Thank you for that anecdote, absolutely brilliant. I will now be exclusively referring to McD's as "Chav Nasa" from now on

I was about to order when I heard someone at the counter ask for a big tasty and be told they have the burgers but not the sauce so they could pick any other sauce they wanted. So I queued up behind him and ordered one with the franks hot sauce mayo from the mcspicy special.
The server said that often just before change over of the time bound specials they run out of a sauce before anything else so on the last day or maybe two you can get them with whatever sauce you want to use up stock
