What temperature and for how long?
20 mins @180 then turned it down to 120 for 4 hours.
All I did was score the skin a bit more and put salt on then chucked it straight in.

You're literally roasting it in an oven. A small, desktop oven.

I love my air fryer, but it really does beggar belief that folks are surprised that things they could make in a 'normal' oven can also be made in a slightly smaller, more portable version.

I really don’t think people are ‘surprised’ that they can cook similar foods in a smaller oven.

They are surprised at the reduced time to cook with better results.

This pretty much, plus they do more.

I wouldn't do bacon in an oven, but it's fine in the air fryer.

I know Channel 5 has gone all in on air fryers, some new show every other week, but love him or hate him the Jamie Oliver Air fryer series on C4 last week showed promise in ep 1.

As usual recipes online and a book.

Look up ‘Graces Spice Mix’. It’s not identical but very good. For the burgers I left them In buttermilk after flattening them. Tried without and just using egg wash…not much in it.

I was left feeling underwhelmed at his efforts.

A lot faffing and adding ingredients and steps for the sake of it. I mean adding sesame seeds in an air fryer would just create a sandstorm!! That and the amount of washing up created from all the sticky sauces and marinades.

I’ve got both the AF400UK and the AF451UK.

Thoroughly recommend.

Depends what you want from an air fryer. If it's an oven replacement and you can cope with deeply average (oven) chips then the Ninja is probably the way forwards.

We've gone ActiFry instead - so more of a deep frier replacement - as life's too short for rubbish chips. We had a Ninja copy, but that's now with the sister in law as everything that came out of it was objectively worse than if we'd just stuck it in the oven.

We got the Genius XL 2 in 1 for half price, so it's got the usual ActiFry with paddle at the bottom, then another plate you can put on top for meat. Not sure I'd pay £300 for one, but at 150 it was a steal.

Thanks, I'm looking for a mini oven rather than any traditonal frying alternative.

Doesn’t seem Tefal share your enthusiasm for the old Actrify.

They’ve gone full AirFryer now, with lots of variants looking very similar to the Ninja.

All direct sales of the Actifry have gone from their website. I’m guessing what is at 3rd party resellers maybe the end of the stock.

I bought an air fryer after a long time of not wanting one - bought directly from Ninja at a very good price.

Today I was happily surprised to see that M&S put air fryer cooking instructions as part of their cooking guides.

Ninja's are good, ahve the megazone thing at home and a cheapo Phillips in the appartment, which is good enough for one. Prefer it for cleaning and no difference in how stuff comes out tbh.

I started with an Actifry which I ended up using just for chips, which it did brilliantly. Wanted something a bit more versatile so got a Salter Dual Air, (2 drawer), which has been brilliant. Got it on special offer from Amazon, £100, so a bargain! Currently £140.
Different temperatures, different cooking times, press sync and they're both ready together! Even tried a ribeye steak once, just out of interest. Was ok but I made the mistake of not giving it a quick flash fry afterwards, to give it a reverse sear! Would definitely recommend the Salter. Makes great oven chips! Very economical energy wise as well! It's just a small, versatile oven when it boils down to it!
I have a small, kitchen top oven as well,(I live on my own), which I've only used to bake quiches and pies in, everything else is done in the Salter. idea Will have to try individual pies in it.
