Nice. Not far from me, might have to have a drive out to try it, make sure it's good. CKY said:
It's not bad for a chain, but there are a couple of shops closer to me that I prefer, both for quality and quantity/value for money. Just checked the menu and £23 at the Wetherby Whaler for their Giant Haddock, a 'Mega' fish and chips with scraps and curry sauce or mushy peas from my preferred outlet is under £18 - and that's with the Harrogate Tax on it!
Which is your preferred chippy?Olivers? Drakes? Coronation?

I will say for consistently nice Fish and Chips - Wetherby Whaler @ Pudsey has never failed.

Ahh, I see you're a man of culture as well. Last time I was in Kendall Farm I made the mistake of trying one of their bags of cooked 'Pork Crackling' that was resting on top of the display counter, best 'pork scratchings/crunch' i've had - no other will do anymore.. Ahh yes kendalls, best pasties in town IMO

Last night was Day 3 of my JE voucher spree, something different. Dessert box, I dread to think of the calories, 2 large milkshakes and wife's chocolate crepes out of shot.
Last night I was absolutely stuffed!
I would need an ambulance on standby, I think.
Still would, though.

I use Olivers, not had a bad one from there yet - tried Dougies, Oatlands Mount, The Wharfe, Drakes, and Harrogate Fisheries (as it was next door to the butchers), Olivers has been the most consistent for me and the best across the board IMO.
The Wharfe in Otley or Knaresborough? If you are ever in Otley then The Maypole is a good option.Greshamst said:
