I’ve made so far have been nice… hotel butter chicken was the best so far though.
My fav so far is the chicken Ceylon. Dopiaza is bloody good as well.
I did the achari on Friday, I think it's my favourite. Ceylon was hard to beat though
Looks like I’ll be doing the Ceylon Saturday then biggrin

Glebe Hotel Ceylon. Chefs own Gobi Saag.

Ceylon has a lovely flavour… probably my favourite Gelebe after the Hotel Butter Chicken… suitable for an ‘Indian’ diner party.

Balti chicken paneer, muttar paneer, and home made parathas chez moi. Was good, and not often I do a curry without rice.

The smear at 1 o'clock is mango chutney.

Sri Lankan style chicken and cashew nut curry. Fairly mild with mushrooms and peppers. Can be made hot very easily but this cook was for chilli wusses

Just for context I’m not saying you did it wrong hehe I see the gravy recipe would produce something quite dark and then you’re adding tamarind to it etc. looks good though don’t get me wrong

Yeah, even half a tap of tamarind makes it dark!

Taste was very nice.

Glebe hotel bhuna… chicken tikka in lieu of lamb. Chefs own gobi saag and pilau. Tandoori roti (not pictured).

Made this once before, but for some reason it was nothing like as good as this! Fabulous deep flavour with a surprising freshness.

Looking good Chris! I wanted to make my own with my gravy but couldn’t be bothered. I went to my local coop and bottled it when looking for chicken and saw their chicken rogan josh.

I actually think it’s a banging curry, great flavour. It’s got that liquorice flavour I love to hate! No rice cos effort, so a cheeky naan and pops. Meal for 2, for 1 hehe

In front of the tv too, not like me. And yes, I got it down my top biggrin

Inspired by the recent Glebe recipe, finally got round to making the hotel butter chicken, really good. Went all out and bbq'd the chicken.

Nice work above.

I didn’t defrost the peas so it looks a little watery. It wasn’t. Cost co naan.

I’ve another portion that would be perfect in a spiced up shepherds pie

Great work chaps….

The glebe hotel butter chicken probably my favourite of all the recipes I’ve made recently… such a lovely complex flavour.

Interestingly, I’ve must have made a 100 different chicken tikka recipes over the years, but the basic glebe one with just tandoori masala is ridiculously decent.

Haven’t made keema for ages… minced lamb is only available from specialist British butchers here for an astronomical price… when I asked for it in the big Spanish supermarket they liked at me like I was mad.

The hotel style really are excellent, particularly as it only really take one day of lengthy effort for a dozen or more meals. I’m due another gravy cook over the Easter break. I’m just going to do all three this time, into freezer bags again and that’s me sorted for a good couple of months of curry’s at home.

Yeah, the quality base gravy is game changing… takes no time at all to knock up a restaurant quality curry on a Saturday night smile

I can't search through 64 pages so could someone give me a link to these Hotel Curry recipes? Especially the base sauce. Much appreciated.
