I enjoyed a can of Guarana Antarctica the other day which has no sweeteners
It does have sweeteners, either sugar cane or, depending the plant it was made, another type of natural sweetener. Somewhatfoolish said:
Finally - don't forget Todd's Drinks (formally Enerzaid). I was a kickstarter of that and thus on the tasting panel. People at work thought I was insane but they always think that anyway. I don't actually buy any as I was only interested in the Irn Bru rather than Lucozade replacement really but anyone who wants that (whether original or orange) should support the man. If he brought back the lemon lucozade I'd probably buy some.
Thank you, I have ordered a trial pack of the original for sampling. r3g said:

I can personally attest that the blood orange one is delicious.
How do you drink it? Add so sparkling water such as soda stream?https://www.amazon.co.uk/Monin-Orange-Sanguine-Syr...

Apart from destroying original sweet and soft drink recipes, and I assume an increase in government tax revenue, i do wonder what actual benefits are now seen 6 years since the sugar tax was introduced in 2018. From a purely visual perspective if you walk around any local high street you still see the same fat kids and fat adults waddling about. The 'statistics' will say i'm wrong but i don't think the sugar tax improved anything and it never will. All it did was fk up my soft drinks

It was never intended to stop fat kids. It was intended to make the shareholders and manufacturers of the bolidemichael said:

Slightly off topic, but yesterday I noticed that Aldi's 'everyday essentials' pasta sauce had sweetener in it.
Last time I checked a dose of manufactured chemical/compound was far from an 'everyday essential'...
Plum tomatoes from the rich soils of Vesuvius are the basis of this cuisine -- they are naturally sweet. Inferior tomatoes require sweetening; many recipes suggest adding sugar, I prefer to pay extra and source the real thing.Last time I checked a dose of manufactured chemical/compound was far from an 'everyday essential'...

I'll buy or make fruit juice and water it down with fizzy water from the Sodastream.
The juice has plenty of sugar in it already and it's really refreshing.
Just remember that often "No added sugar" normally means artificial sweetener instead. Fruit juice really doesn't need more sugar or sweetness.

They're all full of aspartame, sucralose and acesulfame potassium. https://www.sweetpunkz.com/collections/powdered-dr...

"Citric Acid, Aspartame, Maltodextrin, Artificial Flavours, Red 40, Contains 2% or less of: Magnesium Oxide, Sucralose, Acesulfame Potassium. Contains Phenylalanine. e."
"citric acid, natural and artificial flavors, aspartame, maltodextrin, contains 2% or less of the following: magnesium oxide, artificial color, acesulfame potassium, yellow 5, red 40"
I suspect you've clicked on the wrong thread.

The story is basically in this Sun article and the original kickstarter.
Remember that they were very dark days indeed for the drinkable sweet carbonated beverages community...
