Walker’s Max Strong jalapeño and cheese. The perfect heat and flavour for me. Although I do like their prawn cocktail one too.

I've recently discovered these Wotsits Giants. No way are these designed to be shared. It's definitely a one-person portion.

Really like Tayto, especially the prawn cocktail flavour. Hard to find in supermarkets though.

Not in B&M and the like. Multipacks of these with Scampi Fries, just £1.50 for six bags.

Walkers Sensations for me, in particular Balsamic Vinegar & Caramelised Onion flavour. Also Salt& Vinegar Discos.

These are lovely. Very different texture to Walkers, a little bit thicker and taste 'dry' somehow. Far too moreish.

Lidl sell them in huge bags

Now rebranded as "Taylors" after they got bought over.

These are bloody lovely but looks like they’ve stopped the haggis ones:

But you can still get them but look a bit pricey:

Lidl's Snacktastic Salt'n'Vinegar Crunchy Sticks. Just like they used to be in M&S in the old days.

Magnificent. https://world.openfoodfacts.org/product/2000000132...

Their fake Pringles are way better than Pringles, too.

For posh crisps trying to be all sophisticated and that, Co-Op sea salt and chardonnay vinegar crisps are da bomb:

Unless I'm mistaken, Smiths are essentially just repackaged Walkers for a cheaper price. Same address, typefaces etc.

I don't think I can say who make the best crisps, but some of my favourites (in no particular order) are:

- KP Snacks - Brannigans (beef and mustard) - a shame they were discontinued;

- KP Snacks again - Frisps (cheese and onion); and

- Keogh's (atlantic sea salt and Irish cider vinegar).

I've found Piper cheese and onion crisps to be okay but just missing 'something', but I'd still place them above other more gourmet/pricey crisps, especially Kettle, Real and Tyrrell's (all three are just way too salty, and so are Seabrook).

Agree that salt and vinegar Discos are pretty good. Throw in Roysters (T-bone steak) - also KP Snacks.

On reflection, maybe it is KP Snacks that do it well for me.

Also, I don't know if anyone else remembers but there was a crisp brand but whenever you gently shook the packet, the contents sounded like plastic. Could've been Golden Wonder (assuming they were made from potato flour).

Another thing was that The Real McCoys (KP Snacks yet again) did for a brief period was horizontally / rectangular-ly package their crisps (like Walkers Tear and Share) so that when you stuck your hand in, you had more space. When they marketed it it was actually quite an ingenious idea, so it's odd they did away with that.

Cheers, I'll keep an eye out. Not sure I've ever seen the brand down here in tropical Berkshire though!
