Pipers are really good.
Their crisps maybe, the actual company are bds for discontinuing their garlic pita chips, the savoury snack that all other savoury snacks aspired to be. bds.

Bought some of these from the beer-off a while back, pricey so they must be good.

What I miss from 'back in the day' is the occasional really brown bordering on the burnt crisp yum these days of quality control they're all the same as in anaemic. You'd think there's a market or well cooked crisps?

Mackies are now Taylors crisps, as mentioned previously in this thread, just incase you can't find them.

These are pretty tasty if you can get them nearby.

Brannigans roast beef and mustard in the paper bag were the best though. I also think walkers thai sweet chilli sensations are up there.

Crisps are life, give me crisps over sweet stuff any day of the week.

Would echo any recommendation for the Co-op sea salt and Chardonnay wine vinegar crisps, so deliciously tangy.

That said I don’t think I’ve ever met a crisp I don’t like.

Honourable mentions for crisps from my childhood walkers Worcester sauce flavour and Walkers tomato sauce flavour crisps.

Found the above salt and vinegar crisps taste test interesting. I've tried the top two (Asda 1st place, Co Op 2nd place), found them really intense, not sure if it translates to the real world where you might be scoffing a bag or half a bag. I'm sure for the taste tests, they might eat a handful at most.

I scoffed a whole bag of top rated Asda Salt and Vinegar crisps watching a film, my mouth was seriously puckered and I was suffering somewhat. Wasn't very pleasant, it was too intense.

Has to be cheese and onion. Tesco Finest or Kettle Chips. Walkers or McCoy's Ridge Cut in an emergency. Don't like the texture of Mackies.

Pringles are processed rubbish.

As for nachos, doritos, whatever - the devil's work. Just say no, kids.

That's what I thought until I found some Ketchup flavour Pringles (proper branded Pringles, not rip-off) in a poundshop last Christmas. Damn near inedible. My kids wouldn't touch them, but I powered through them because I will not be beaten by any crisp. Would never buy again, nearest thing I've ever come to a crisp I don't like.

Are Aldi crisps rejected ones from other makers? Their S&V ones are brilliant as they are loaded with flavour, maybe too much for some and so may not have made a QA assessment.

Other favourite is the salt and vinegar hula hoop. Nothing better only now I can't put them on my fingers to eat them anymore.

Can get giant ones now, if that is a requirement? Salt n vinegar Hula Hoops came in 3rd place on the taste test!

Interesting in the same way that interesting is used in the old Chinese saying "may you live in interesting times" hehe
