On a minimum calorie diet to retain basic bodily functionality, say 1500 day. (I need to lose weight anyway)

Realistically I could probably last a couple of months on the contents of my kitchen.

Of course by the end of the two months I would be a lot slimmer and fed up with tinned sardines..

I have 2 freezers full of food, mostly batch cooked meals, the cupboards have lots of tins in them and the veg box is full. The wife panics if we don't have at least a months worth of food in stock. So I reckon If on my own I could go for 2 months, the neighbours have a massive veg patch so even this time of year they would have enough growing to keep me in veg for a while. And by the time that was all eaten the veg he is planting now will be grown enough to eat. After that it will be the other neighbours sheep, they have about 800 now, of which 50 odd are in the field at the bottom of the garden, they have a few cows in the next field as well. Yep given some thought and a decent knife I should be OK.

Zombie Apocalypse Checklist.

1) Immediately neutralise with extreme prejudice any neighbour who at any time in the past has shown an interest in my vegetable garden or livestock. "Yes officer, he was looking a bit zombie'd and I'm sure I heard him moan something about 'brains'". "That's fine Sir, there's a lot of it about at the moment".

2) Keep Calm and Carry On.

We bulk shop in Costco so depending on how close we were to the next shop, probably 2-3 months. When we shop we buy tins by the case. Most other stuff we by is multiples or XL size bottles/boxes.

We also slow cook in batches so at any one time we will have about 30 - 40 portions of home cooked food in the freezer, plus all the normal stuff.
